What You'll Do:
- Act as Tech Lead for the console port itself, planning and directing the overall porting effort.
- Reverse-engineer and navigate an inherited UE codebase to diagnose, debug, and resolve complex crashes, memory leaks, and race conditions within underlying subsystems.
- Implement clever solutions to improve performance and resolve issues in core systems such as saves and audio.
- Coordinate across disciplines (rendering, systems, and beyond) to keep the porting project on track, flagging risks and dependencies early.
What You Must Bring:
- Prior Tech Lead experience.
- Console experience, ideally including console porting work.
- Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on Unreal Engine experience.
- Senior level expertise navigating and debugging large, inherited codebases.
- Solid understanding of memory management, concurrency issues, and CPU/GPU performance profiling and debugging tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a performance-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Optimization experience is a bonus, though not required.
