Core Network Solutions Engineer - part time (f/m)

We are looking for a motivated student to join our team on a part-time basis and support the development of automated testing environment for telecommunications core network solutions (4G/5G).

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of internal tools and environments
• Design, development and execute tests for core network (4G/5G) functionalities
• Analyze 4G/5G core network call flows and logs to design and maintain functional test cases.
• Support automation of regression test suites and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with network logs, test scenarios, and automation frameworks
• Collaborate with an international team on ongoing projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and environments

Requirements

• Student status (preferred fields: Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or similar)
• Good programming skills and ability to read and understand Python code (hands‑on experience) is a strong plus, AI‑assisted coding tools are used in the team.
• Willingness to learn and use Python‑based test automation frameworks and tools.
• Good communication skills and openness to new challenges
• Ability to work in a team and communicate in English (B2 or higher)
• Basic understanding of mobile network architecture, especially Core network, is an advantage
• Basic experience with Linux (working in terminal, handling log files) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IP networking (TCP/UDP, ports, routing) is an advantage.
• Interest in test automation and Continuous Integration (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) is a plus.
• Any experience with tools like Wireshark or similar test tools is a plus.
