Knihobot is a recommerce platform operating in 9 markets, shipping books to 40 countries, with over 10 million books sold. We are the 16th fastest growing tech startup in the CEE region. Every day we sell around 30,000 books.
The role
We're not looking for someone to execute specs. You'll identify what needs of our systems, architecture it, solve scaling issue before they happend and ship it end to end – in direct cooperation with David Gazdoš (CTO). A lot of freedom, a lot of responsibility.
What you'll work on
- End-to-end ownership: From identifying the problem to shipping the fix. No handoffs.
- Tech stack: Kubernetes, AWS, Talos, Terraform, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Manticore Search, Duckdb, Mysql, Kafka, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJs, AdonisJs, SeaweedFS, Redis.
- Kubernetes a devops: blah blah blah
- Agentic development: AI tools are a core part of how we build. You're expected to use them to deliver complex features independently and fast.
- SRE: You watch dashboards proactively, catch problems before they surface, and fix them before customers even notice.
What we're looking for
- You've already built things at scale of hundreds of CPUs, hundreds gigs of RAM, thousands ingress requests / second.
- You're anchored in both dev and devops: You've worked across the full stack, ideally as the single person responsible for the outcome.
- You don't wait for a ticket: You identify what needs to be built and you start.
- End-to-end is the main reason you're here: Not a compromise. You want the space to design and build – and you're done with everything else getting in the way.
- Languages: fluent Czech, advanced English
