We are looking for a Group Compliance Manager who will lead the Compliance & Risk portfolio across DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP, ensure alignment with regulatory requirements in all operating countries, and act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, including the Managing Director.
What will be your role?
- Leading the Compliance & Risk agenda across the group and ensuring alignment with business strategy
- Owning and developing the compliance framework across all operating jurisdictions (POG, IDD, GDPR, DORA, risk management)
- Acting as the main point of contact for regulators, auditors and the Group, including handling inspections and reporting
- Monitoring regulatory changes, assessing their impact and driving implementation across the business
- Overseeing all legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance and coordination of external legal counsel
- Leading and developing the compliance team, including performance management and capability building
- Managing the compliance risk register and providing clear, structured reporting to senior leadership

You might be a perfect fit, if you:
- Have strong experience in compliance, legal or a combined compliance/legal role in a regulated environment
- Understand key regulatory frameworks (POG, IDD, GDPR, DORA) and can apply them in practice
- Have experience working in an international or multi-market environment
- Are confident communicating with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders
- Have strong judgement and can balance regulatory requirements with business needs
- Have leadership experience and can build and develop a high-performing team
- Have excellent communication skills and fluent English (C1+), Czech/Slovak is an advantage
