The company Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH and provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of the group. Our team, as part of Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH, is responsible for full lifecycle of Roaming systems. Currently we are seeking designer and integration manager who is not only able to drive SW design and integration of roaming systems, but also work in DevOps mode within test and production environments.
Your key responsibility will be ownership of platform and application design and subsequent integration of new systems or features into existing test and production ecosystems. If you have experience with telecommunications, Linux, databases, virtualization, networking and finally automation you are the best candidate for us.
This position is full-time and based in Prague. English is must and German a big advantage. Expect up to 10% of travel.
What you will do
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of an Entitlement server (according to GSMA standard), which is running on Kubernetes.
- Maintain our Entitlement server application in the K8S cluster
- Operate the K8S clusters and pro-actively treat the application alerts (Troubleshooting & informing customers)
- Write scripts & tools for DevOps enhancement
Required knowledge and skills
- Good Linux knowledge
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps and tools (e.g., GitLab, FluxCD)
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Understanding of security best practices, tracing concepts, alarming and system monitoring
- Willingness to take shifts for on-call duty to support 24/7 operations (Bonus payments)
- Great communication and collaboration skills (English)
Optional skills:
- Experience in development with Java (Spring)
- Experience managing and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience working in agile and cross-functional development teams
