Deutsche Telekom’s Technology Delivery International (TDI) is the internal service delivery organization for National Operator Customers. Within TDI, the Automation & Orchestration Platform (AOP) Tribe is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM) to drive the strategy, delivery, and adoption of Test Automation within the organization. Test Automation is vital for enhancing efficiency and quality in TDI’s operations. Your contributions will directly support the organization’s objectives by achieving maximum efficiency and reliability in testing processes.
The TPM plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s business objectives through effective product delivery. In this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong ownership and accountability, independently managing the testing domain.
What you will do
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and implement the Test Automation strategy for TDI and DT’s EU Segment NatCos under the guidance of the AOP Tribe Leader.
- Gather and analyze Test Automation requirements from DT’s EU Segment NatCos in close collaboration with the COME (Common Operating Model Europe) program.
User-Centric Backlog Ownership
- Actively promote existing tools and solutions within the testing domain to increase visibility and adoption throughout the company.
- Create a roadmap for the implementation of Test Automation strategies across relevant segments.
- Collaborate with Test Automation Product Owners to break down high-level EPICs into actionable User Stories, Tasks, and define clear acceptance criteria.
Delivery & Enablement
- Manage the development and enhancement of common Test Automation tools within the TDI organization, including GTAF, TESSA, SUTaaS, CBaaS, NAaaS, and any upcoming tools.
- Oversee high-level backlog management, including prioritization and ROI calculations for Test Automation tool development.
- Drive engagement with external partners and vendors in the Test Automation space.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as the technical Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Test Automation towards external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with TDG and Group Technology teams to steer the Test Automation strategy across various entities.
- Mentor Testing and Test Automation teams to enhance development techniques and promote high levels of test case reuse.
Required knowledge and skills
- Strong background in Test Automation is essential.
- Proven experience in Product Management, particularly within technical domains.
- Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability for work.
- Excellent communication skills with a solid ability in both written and verbal presentation (in English).
- Strategic problem solver with the capability to define and evaluate alternatives, breaking high-level goals into specific project tasks.
