About the Role:
As an O&M DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our network management systems, impacting the performance and reliability of services delivered to millions of customers. You will be responsible for release management, software validation, design, vendor steering, and the development of automation solutions using tools like Ansible and Jenkins. You'll also contribute to maintaining 99.9% uptime for our state-of-the-art RAN laboratory and its associated tools. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and contribute to the evolution of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of network management products, from release planning to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Conduct thorough software validation and testing to ensure quality and reliability.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of network management solutions.
- Steer vendors to meet our specific requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
- Operate and maintain live network elements, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain the operational readiness of the RAN laboratory, including tools and daily operations.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible, Jenkins, and other relevant tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with international teams to share knowledge and best practices within our collaborative and supportive environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Solid Linux system administration skills.
- Proficiency in programming, including shell scripting and Python.
- Proven experience in test automation.
- Strong understanding of IT/NT management systems, their purpose, and functionalities.
- Experience in vendor management and steering.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-native application deployment and operation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to deliver high-quality presentations.
- Knowledge of industry trends in telecommunications and IT.
- Windows server administration experience.
