We’re on the hunt for a passionate Automation Engineer to join our Prague team. In this role, you will be responsible for deployment automation, you will do development and adaptation of existing automation framework and you will support internal customer with their application onboarding into our private cloud. Automation framework uses latest technologies and runs in cloudified and/or containerized environment. The application which you will onboard serve whole customer base of Deutsche Telekom. You shall use your full range of automation, integration and communication skills. This position is full-time and based in Prague. English is a must and German a big advantage
What you will do
- Deliver deployment pipelines and deployment toolset for Cloud Automation Framework
- Deliver code / scripts to enable automated deployment in cloudified environment and containerized environment
- Communicate with our multiple vendors and steer them on technical level
- Support internal customers and their onboarding
- Deliver technical documentation on the automation to allow effective knowledge sharing
- Work in a DevOps setup to ensure top quality and availability of the automation service
- Actively monitor new trends and business functionalities in the automation domain
Required knowledge and skills
- Preferably Master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering or mathematics
- Senior level in Python/Bash scripting/programming
- Very good understanding of CI/CD (GitLab, Gitlab runners, Jfrog, Artifactory, Ansible Tower, Jenkins)
- Understanding of virtualization / cloudification (Docker/Podman, Openstack, Kubernetes, VMware)
- Very good knowledge of Linux
- Familiar with Jira and Agile methodology
- Excellent communication skills (ability to clearly articulate your ideas - both verbally and on paper)
- Ability to work on your own, with “out of the box” mindset (not just 'following' but 'being creative')
- Passion for software and telecommunication technologies
