We are a successful diversified biotech startup with four main research and business segments: human molecular diagnostics, PCR reagents for life sciences, monoclonal antibodies and small molecule drug discovery. In all these segments we are bringing unique products to the global market.
We are now looking for a new senior colleague with proven background or strong interest in both business and science to help us to develop business models for new market segments, make deals with new partners and secure capital from potential new investors.
While your initial focus should be on advancing our business models across all our segments and introducing our company to new partners and investors, based on your background and preference you can also later develop into leading business development activities in a specific segment.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Performing market analysis of our target segments in terms of market sizing, competitive landscape and differentiation of product offering to shape our product proposition, business models and market entry strategies.
- Creating quantitative business and valuation models.
- Preparing presentations and data packages for current and potential future investors, supporting the negotiations and other aspects of investor relations.
- Identifying and negotiating with new customers and business partners.
- Supporting potential M&A activities and corporate events.
- Cooperating closely with top management, sales and marketing, finance and R&D teams
Who are we looking for?
- Significant industrial / venture capital / consulting experience with background or strong interest in life-science
OR
PhD degree or more senior academic experience in life-science with strong interest in business development - Knowledge of diagnostics or life-science markets is a plus.
- Ability to build quantitative models and create presentations.
- Ability to draft and revise legal contracts. Ability to lead business negotiations.
- Solid project management skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment and assume senior responsibilities while also preparing the materials hands-on.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent English (Czech is an advantage but not required).
